The Training Edge is run by a duo of vastly experienced training development experts in Wencke Bolt and Mercia Rous. Together, Wencke and Mercia have over 25 years of experience in this field across a broad range of industries and companies. That experience is matched by real passion for the field and all of The Training Edge’s products and services have been designed to create excitement and enthusiasm. 

Wencke Bolt
Wencke is an owner and director of The Training Edge. Wencke has ten years of experience in the Education, Training and Development fields and her main roles at The Training Edge are those of facilitator, coach, mentor, assessor, moderator, verifier and project manager.

Her formal qualifications are as follows: RAU: Diploma (Cum Laude) in Education, Training and Development Practices (2000).

Wencke is also a registered assessor against the National Certificate, Higher Certificate and Diploma in Occupation – Directed Education and Training and Development Practices

Wencke is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, a member of the Association of Private Providers of ETD and a member of the Institute for Organisation Development and Transformation and a member of the Businesswomen’ s Association.

Wencke is a 2006 BWSA Finalist in the Entrepreneurship Category.

Mercia Rous
Mercia is an owner and director of The Training Edge. Mercia has 20 years of experience in the Education, Training and Development fields and her main roles at The Training Edge are those of facilitator, coach, mentor, assessor, moderator, verifier and project manager.

Her formal qualifications are as follows: RAU: Masters Certificate (Cum Laude) in Education, Training and Development Practices (1999) and RAU: Diploma (Cum Laude) in Education, Training and Development Practices (2000). She also holds a RAU: MCOM HRM: Capita Selecta 2001: The Role of the Change Agent in Creating New World of Work Institutions in HRM with Pat McLagan. (Cum Laude)

Mercia is also a registered assessor against the National Certificate, Higher Certificate and Diploma in Occupation – Directed Education and Training and Development Practices
